August 24, 2016 - Eventbase is honored to be named one of the fastest-growing companies in B.C. in 2016, ranked number 19 out of 100 Vancouver companies by Business in Vancouver. The list represents a look at the most successful companies in Lower Mainland and we’re proud to join the ranks of Vancouver’s entrepreneurial business decision-makers.
“One of the biggest challenges has been scaling through such rapid growth. We chose to bootstrap our company from 2009 through 2014, so we grew organically,” said Jeff Sinclair, CEO and Co-Founder of Eventbase. “After receiving our first investment from South by SouthWest (SXSW) in 2014, we've experienced tremendous growth in both size and revenue.”
Our growth has been driven by a combination of our increase in talent and a second round of funding from Madrona Ventures in 2015. We started the calendar year with 67 staff and have almost doubled in size, adding 56 full-time employees to date. Investing in the right talent has been extremely essential to our growth. “We go to great lengths to ensure we have exceptional team members,” says Jeff, “who demonstrate skill, dedication, team fit and an alignment with our core values.”
