Last month I attended Dreamforce 2024, the world’s largest software conference, in San Francisco. This massive annual event is always a great learning experience as Salesforce focuses so much on elevating the attendee experience. With Eventbase once again powering the award-winning Salesforce Events App, we had several team members onsite making sure this event ran smoothly. As in previous years, Eventbase launched ground-breaking innovations at Dreamforce. Let’s take a look at what was new in this year’s app.
New Discover Modules
In 2023, we launched Discover, which delivers the perfect, personalized first screen for every special moment for each attendee at your event. This year we launched a new Quick Links Module in the Dreamforce App, which allows attendees to access key features more efficiently from the Discover Screen. By prominently highlighting Quick Links to important information, and changing these links throughout the event, we made the app easier to use.
Mixhalo Live Session Audio
Eventbase recently announced its partnership with Mixhalo, which officially launched at Dreamforce 2024. Thousands of attendees enjoyed this new audio experience, listening to "silent disco" session audio using their own headphones through the Dreamforce mobile app. Mixhalo provided low latency, high-fidelity live session audio for more than a dozen stages across the Dreamforce campus. By letting attendees use their own headphones, Mixhalo lowers costs by reducing the need for Salesforce to provide loaner headphones. The launch of the Mixhalo and Eventbase integration was a big success. Next up, Salesforce is planning to use Eventbase's upcoming integration of Mixhalo Translate, providing the same great audio but with the option of listening in up to 40 languages - powered by AI! Eventbase and Mixhalo also plan to offer real-time session transcription through the mobile app.
RainFocus Tech Tour
Our partner RainFocus once again hosted Tech Tours for event professionals at Dreamforce, and this year Eventbase was one of the stops on the tour. Tech Tour attendees were given an overview of Salesforce Events App, powered by Eventbase, including the new features launched this. Mixhalo's CEO, John Vars, was able to demonstrate the Live Session Audio capabilities in the app and even gave a sneak preview of Mixhalo Translate.
“Ask Astro” Chatbot (Beta)
To elevate the Dreamforce experience for all attendees, Salesforce's own technology was used to create “Ask Astro”, a modern chatbot integrated into the Salesforce Events App. This helpful bot allowed attendees to get quick answers and guidance throughout the Dreamforce event.
Session Summaries by Einstein
Another AI-powered tool by Salesforce, “Session Summaries by Einstein,” allowed attendees to view summaries of participating sessions within the mobile app. This feature can either refresh an attendee's memory after the session or provide a summary if they were not able to attend.
Making Human Connections with Braindate
Another Eventbase trusted partner, Braindate, integrated with the event app to allow attendees at Dreamforce to spark conversations and plan meetups around certain topics with other like-minded professionals. This feature helped create a forum for knowledge-sharing conversations, empowering attendees to get the most out of their event experience. Braindate’s main goal is to enable peer learning experiences at events - and to connect and learn from one another.
Eventbase Hosted Dinner
Dreamforce is full of networking and learning, but we also took some time out of our busy schedules to host our own dinner for our customers and trusted partners. It was an evening with great Italian foods and drinks….maybe a little too much food! Thanks to everyone attending and being an important part of our community. It was an evening of great conversations and some new connections.
A big thank you to the Eventbase Team for going above and beyond to deliver this year's Dreamforce app, and thanks to the Salesforce Team for trusting us to deliver another unforgettable event app experience.
