EVENTBASE SETS A NEW STANDARD WITH THE DREAMFORCE EVENT APP

Salesforce’s Dreamforce 2024  featured 2,000+ speakers and 1,500+ sessions spread out across a vast campus surrounding the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Attendees at the biggest software conference in the world deserve an exceptional mobile app so, since 2021, Salesforce has relied on Eventbase. The latest iteration of the Salesforce Events App introduced new features that made Dreamforce more personalized than ever before.

THE POWER OF DISCOVER


Every time an attendee opened the event app they were greeted with Discover, a personalized welcome page that changes throughout the lifecycle of the event. Throughout the day, Discover was updated to capture the excitement of what’s next and the transitions were automated, so they could be configured ahead of time. There were even different Discover Sequences set up for regular badge holders, executive track attendees and staff too.


The Dreamforce mobile app Discover page included a new feature called Attendee Checklists that guided event attendees to the vast range of activities that were available onsite. Activities were displayed based on the Role assigned to an attendee based on their interests, and a list of Popular Activities was also shown. Attendees could mark an Activity as being complete, or Skip it. Activities could also expire, so that attendees would not see activities they can no longer experience. The goal was to drive participation in activities throughout Dreamforce, and on the first day Salesforce reported a sizeable increase in the number of activities completed. Discover also included event personalized session recommendations, provided by RainFocus.


MIXHALO LIVE SESSION AUDIO 


Eventbase recently announced its partnership with Mixhalo, which officially launched at Dreamforce 2024. Thousands of attendees enjoyed this new audio experience, listening to "silent disco" session audio using their own headphones through the Dreamforce mobile app. Mixhalo provided low latency, high-fidelity live session audio for more than a dozen stages across the Dreamforce campus. By letting attendees use their own headphones, Mixhalo lowers costs by reducing the need for Salesforce to provide loaner headphones.   The launch of the Mixhalo and Eventbase integration was a big success. Next up, Salesforce is planning to use Eventbase's upcoming integration of Mixhalo Translate, providing the same great audio but with the option of listening in up to 40 languages - powered by AI! Eventbase and Mixhalo also plan to offer real-time session transcription through the mobile app.



THE DREAMFORCE QUIZ


The Dreamforce mobile event app also prompted attendees to complete the Dreamforce Quiz, asking questions that would help personalize that attendee’s experience. Attendees were asked questions including "What are you most excited to do at Dreamforce?", "Which topics spark your interest?" and "What do you hope to gain this week?". After answering these simple questions, attendees received a list of personalized recommendations based on their interests. They could even retake the quiz and receive a new set of recommendations.


BRAINDATE NETWORKING


The Dreamforce mobile app let attendees meet people with similar interests via a Braindate. An experience beyond traditional networking, the goal of a Braindate is to foster knowledge-sharing and help event attendees connect deeper through intentional conversations. Anyone could create a Braindate topic, then meet up in the networking lounge to talk about it. The Dreamforce Campground was a great location for the networking hub, and the tables with swing chairs proved popular (if not a little distracting).


ASK ASTRO - CHATBOT (BETA)


To elevate the Dreamforce experience for all attendees, Salesforce's own technology was used to create “Ask Astro”, a modern chatbot integrated into the Salesforce Events App. This helpful bot allowed attendees to get quick answers and guidance throughout the Dreamforce event.


SESSION SUMMERIES BY EINSTEIN 


Another AI-powered tool by Salesforce, “Session Summaries by Einstein,” allowed attendees to view summaries of participating sessions within the mobile app. This feature can either refresh an attendee's memory after the session or provide a summary if they were not able to attend.


DREAMFORCE QUEST GAME


Event attendees were encouraged to get hands-on with the latest innovations, have fun, and earn great prizes with the Dreamforce Quest Game. Game participants could complete tasks and activities to earn trophies, then visit the Trading Post to redeem prizes.
